Are Mooselog safety boots CSA approved?

Yes, these are actually CSA approved safety boots.


1. The front White rectangle with orange Greek letter omega and CSA indicates electric-shock protective footwear. For industrial work environments where accidental contact with live electrical conductors can occur.
2. The side Green triangle and a small CSA indicates sole puncture protection with a Grade 1 protective toe cap. For industrial work environments, especially that of construction where sharp objects (such as nails) are present.

How much weight can steel toed boots hold?

The CSA green triangle patch on MooseLog steel toed boots indicates sole puncture protection with Grade 1 Protective toe to withstand impacts up to 125 joules. Our sole puncture protection can withstand a force of not less than 1200 Newtons (270 pounds).

Are steel-toed boots beneficial for foot health?

MooseLog work boots protect your feet from serious job injuries, and are essential to maintain workplace safety. They can be harmful for your feet if you choose the incorrect size and wear them for too long.

Are your safety boots good for electrical engineers?

Yes, they are ESR/EH rated. Please see the inside label of the tongue.

The label shows ASTM2413-11 and EH. The ASTM standard for electrical hazard protection is that the boots must be capable of withstanding 18,000 volts at 60 hertz for one minute with no current flow to the foot.

At the same time, by the elastic band, you may find the white omega label with the orange Greek letter omega, which indicates electric-shock protective footwear. This label was CSA & Canadian Standard Association) approved.

Can you hike in steel toe boots?

It is not recommend to use Mooselog work boots for hiking. They feel heavier and are less comfortable for long treks. Rather than the regular steel-toed boot, you may want to consider Mooselog hiking boots or a steel toe hiking boot.

What are steel toe boots meant for?

Mooselog steel toed boots protect your feet from serious workplace injuries and are essential for workplace safety. Our steel toed boots come with a CSA green triangle and CSA white rectangle certification, indicating their Grade 1 sole puncture protection and resistance to electric shock.

What's better steel or composite toe?

Steel toed boots are more protective than composite toe boots as they can withstand higher impact. They are less expensive than composite toe boots. However, steel toed boots are typically heavier and do not breathe as well as composite toe boots, making them less comfortable to wear for extended periods of time.

How to size work boots?

Work boots should be fitted to about a half size larger than normal footwear. Since they contain a hard cap in the boot, there is no stretch in the toe box area. Your toes should never touch the end of the steel toe boot.

Where does the price of the Duties/Taxes and Brokerage Fees come from?

This amount collected is calculated by our shipping courier in accordance with the Government regulations for the country that the item is being shipped to. These fees must be collected by the courier prior to delivery. These fees are then submitted to the appropriate agencies by the courier as determined by law.

What is a Security Code?

Security codes, sometimes called card verification data, are the digits, usually 3, on the back of your credit card. For cardholder security, we ask you to input these digits during check out.

Why can't I check out?

There are a few reasons why you may not be able to complete checkout when you are not able to check out, please do the following.

  • Double-check whether your credit card number has been properly entered, ensuring that no spaces are between any of the numbers.
  • Take a second look at your postal code, ensuring that you have input it properly, remembering that the 'o' key is close the '0' key!
  • Make sure you have input a valid phone number in both your shipping and billing address! If you need to edit your address, no problem. Simply click on 'Edit address' on either the shipping or billing page.

Which currency are listing on the website?

All the products that are listed with CAD on Canada online store and USD on United States online store.

Shipping & Return

Who do you ship with? 

Great question! It really depends on what you're ordering. We have contracts with Canada Post, UPS, Purolator, FedEx.

Can I track my order?

Yes, once your order has been shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email. It can take up to 24 hours for a tracking number to be received. You can also check the tracking number by viewing your Order Status in your 'My account' page.

What is Mooselog’s return policy?

Mooselog accepts returns for items that are in their original condition, unused, and in the original packaging within 30 days of receipt. For detailed return instructions, please visit our return policy page.

Are there any items that cannot be returned?

Final sale items, opened products, and items not in their original condition are generally not eligible for return.

How long will it take to receive my refund?

Refunds are typically processed within 7-10 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item. The refund will be issued to the original payment method.

Can I exchange an item instead of returning it?

MooseLog primarily processes returns for refunds rather than exchanges. If you need a different item, you may need to return the original item and place a new order.
