  • I (Impact protection)
  • C (Compression resistance)
  • PR (Puncture resistant)
  • EH (Electrical hazard rated)

CSA-certified safety toe boots are tested in lab conditions to meet actual jobsite requirements. Anything less is just guesswork.

Choose the Right Toe Material

There are a few options when it comes to safety toe caps:

  • Steel toe: Strong and durable, but heavier and conducts temperature.
  • Composite toe: Lighter, non-metallic, and won’t conduct electricity. Meets the same impact standards as steel.
  • Alloy toe: Lighter than steel, but less common and usually more expensive.
