Over the past year, countless tradespeople, and construction workers have told us that the Chelsea style really isn’t for every job. Some need more ankle security, tighter control, and the toughness that comes with a solid lace-up build.
And we understand. Every job is different, with different boot requirements, so we started.. cooking? Is that how marketing works in 2025?
After months of development and testing, the first-ever MooseLog laced work boots — the MooseLog McCoy and MooseLog MacGill — are on the way, launching early next year.
We named them after two Canadians who defined hard work and innovation.
Elijah McCoy, a mechanical engineer from Ontario, built the self-lubricating system that kept locomotives running strong, and the reason people still say “the real McCoy.”
Elsie MacGill, an aeronautical engineer from Vancouver known as the “Queen of the Hurricanes,” led wartime aircraft production and proved that grit and precision belong in the same room.

The laced boot now has a TPU toe bumper that adds an extra layer of abrasion resistance at the front. For workers who spend their days kneeling, it’s designed to extend the boot’s lifespan and guard against heavy scuffing.
